Friction Force
1. A body of mass 40kg is given an acceleration of 10m/s2 on horizontal ground for which the coefficient of friction is 0.5. Calculate the force required to accelerate the body. (Take g = 10m/s2)
2. Two objects are connected by a massless string through a pulley. The mass of the two objects consecutive 5 kg and 2.5 kg. Coefficient of friction kinetics between the objects I and floor 0.2. Ignore friction rope and pulley. Find the acceleration of each objects and rope tension force that connected two object.
3. A body of mass 4kg is on the point of slipping down a plane, which is inclined at 30o to the horizontal. What force, parallel to the plane, will just move it up the plane? (Take g = 10m/s2).
4. Two beams with mass 50 kg and 100 kg are connected by a rope as a picture. Coefficient kinetic friction of 50 Kg beam with the incline is 0.25. Determine the kinetic energy change of 50 kg beam when it moves from A to B as far as 20 m.
5. A body of mass 5kg is placed on a horizontal plane. It is found that a force of 10N applied horizontally to the body is just about to move it. Calculate the coefficient of static friction between the body and the plane.
6. Two blocks A and B stacked on the floor. A block mass in under is 3 kg and the mass of block B above is 2 kg. The coefficient of static and kinetic friction between block A and B is 0.3 and 0.2, while the coefficient of static and kinetic friction between block A and the floor is 0.2 and 0.1. Determine the maximum acceleration systems so block B does not slip from block A-drawn style F!
